Christmas time !!

It's Christmas time !!
Armenio high school will be on vacation from Friday 23 December 2011 till Sunday 8 January 2011 !!
Christmas , New Year , Epiphany !! Let's enjoy our vacation !!

Visit evaluation

Both students and teachers came closer after all these days being together .
Students used new technologies as means of communication : being in Istanbul ,they communicated with their parnets in Greece through Skype and MSN ( for free , instead using phones ).Returning home , both Turkish and Greek students ,since they became friends , continue communicating , through Facebook and Skype.
Use of English language and great practice of it.

November and preparations for Armenio high school visit to Suat Terimer Anadolu Lisesi

All the month ,up to 17th November , passes with preparations for Armenio high visit to Suat Terimer .
Both schools are preparing folk songs and danses , except the texts for the project .
Heavy work , but certainly it's worth it !!
The feelings are hard to describe !!
Students ( and teachers :) ) are counting days one by one !!
Since students communicate through Facebook ,they share the same exspectations !!
It's so sweet .

October : Greek teacher's selection

Four people : three ladies - teachers ,close friends and partners in any Armenio project for the last 15 years , and Armenio high school head teacher , are the Greek teachers involved in this project .

Mrs Moulatzikou ,French teacher ( a great theater director !!!!!!!!! ) ,mrs Dodou , Mathematician ( a great singer , dancer and dance teacher !!!!!!!!!!! ) and mrs Kardoulaki - Samouil , ancient and modern Greek Litterature and Language teacher , the coordinator of the project .The only man is the Armenio high school head teacher ,mr Skoufas , teacher of Physics , who speaks Turkish !!( among other languages ) and has been teaching in Istanbul , for the last 5 years at the Patriarchate high school .

October 2011 Istanbul visit preparations

Teachers ( mrs Saral and mrs Samouil ) created Facebook pages !!!! as a way of contact between them and students from the other part of the Aegean . It would be unfair if we didn't mention Atakan Gider , the young guy , mrs Saral student, who was the Facebook coordinator and first administrator of the project's Facebook page .

Mrs Saral and mrs Samouil were on a constant contact preparing all details , but ..... they were preparing surprises to each other !!! ( awsome surprises !!)

September 2011 , new school season

As soon as new school season started all of us , teachers and students , both in Greece and Turkey started preparations .
Our teams were , already, ready, based on linguistic and cooperation criteria.
Students who were eager to work for the project and benefit in longterms were chosen to participate .
Nevertheless a minimum use of English was a must .
Greek students started learning Turkish words ( both from TV series and from Youtube Turkish lessons ).

On the other hand Turkish students were studying Greek language .
